Another vote for Twin XL! For a tall person, it is the length that matters. And if your son gets used to sprawling all around in a queen, it might not be beneficial when he starts to share a bed with a partner.

True. Twin and full are the same length 75"; XL Twin, Queen, and King are 80" ; California King is 84"

So a 6" tall person at 72" doesn't have a lot of extra length in a twin or full.

Ehhh, Europe is a continent. Not sure how you think you are an expert on the sleep habits of 750 million people across 44 countries. My DH is Swedish and we lived in a 4br 3ba house in Sweden. Lots and lots of kids have large beds just like Americans and even their own bedrooms! We recently moved back and live in MUCH smaller quarters in DC than we ever lived in in Sweden.

There is a huge difference between Iceland and Greece and Bulgaria and Switzerland.

I doubt you are European. I'm sure you just play that role on the internet.

You and your DH aren't exactly big and you are below average. Not sure why you would think your son needs anything bigger than a full unless he's physically sharing the bed with someone else.

My 13yr old is already 6' and I'm 5'10" and DH 6'4". When we happen to unfortunately get a room with 2 doubles we sleep in separate beds and it's not exactly a hardship.

Are you all particularly obese?
