Because they actually work and by keeping water cold, we mean cold for a long time. I have one of the Hydroflask soup containers, still had edible ice cream almost two days later on a hiking trip.

13 year old DD saved her babysitting $$ and got the 18 oz wide neck. Not too heavy to carry in a backpack and sits on the pool deck every morning at practice. They do get heavy when full.

Because, frustratingly, all of the Bethesda moms on here just automatically buy their girls the brands of jeans / dresses/ shoes / etc. and so they don't have to beg for those, so they can beg for a $40 water bottle


Not just Bethesda. We're in upstate New York and kids are obsessed with Hydroflasks here, too!

From what I can tell, kids who play outdoor sports opt for the 32 oz because it holds more water, but the smaller size will fit better in the backpack once school starts. Both are beloved by the tween/teen crowd.

Meh. Swatches were durable too. Fashion and function are not mutually exclusive and people have mixed motives for most purchases.

My DD got a "Hydropeak" at Marshalls the other day. She said she's going to put stickers on it to cover up the "peak". She's a crafty one. (I told her she could get the hydroflask brand but she thought it was stupid).
