Emory- one of the best campus' in the world.

Rice- Very beautiful and traditional

Swarthmore- nature galore

Pepperdine- this should be everyone's first choice

Another for Mount Holyoke. Stanford is nice. Never been to Vassar but it looks lovely. Didn’t love Cornell the way I expected to, but the area is beautiful. Agree with earlier poster on Va Tech, surprisingly inviting with cohesive architecture and beautiful surroundings. Building interiors aren’t cosy with the details of bygone days like Bryn Mawr, Mount Holyoke, etc. but the campus is appealing and welcoming.

Princeton is pretty great, UC Santa Cruz for nature.

I had a getaway weekend in Williamsburg in the Spring. I went out to take a "short" walk and ended up spending several hours walking around William and Mary and the town. I'd walk one place and see something else that looked interesting and then that led me to somewhere else. Just lovely. Nice golf courses as well.

On the private side, Richmond, W&L, and Sweet Briar also have beautiful campuses.

Elon was much nicer than I expected.
High Point is immaculate but in a Disney kind of way.

Cambridge in the UK is the nicest I've seen, the Colleges have beautiful, unique architecture and the Backs along the river are lovely. There are too many tourists now, though.

In the U.S., there are quite a few. Princeton, West Point (the history and setting), Yale, William & Mary, Wellesley, University of Colorado, Middlebury, and Bryn Mawr come to mind. I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting.

So true. All three are more prestigious and much prettier than University of Maryland

I went to W&M and I loved the campus there.

Maryland is ranked higher than VT in US News. College Park also has a nice campus, although the area around it is less appealing.

St. Mary's College of MD has a pretty campus on the water too.

I love Charlottesville and it's just a hop, skip and a jump from Wintergreen which is just gorgeous.
