There have already been posts noting that the GOP appears to liberals to have moved further right only because liberals are now ultra, ultra left. By comparison, of course moderate Americans will look like they've moved right. They haven't. Bill Clinton would be considered a moderate Republican these days.

Make Liberals Sane Again.

Except the issue for cons is liberals move the country where they want it to go. The cons just mumble and rant about the libtards. Then the next generation becomes even more liberal. And suddenly social issues are no longer on the table because the liberals have won the social issue war. Soon healthcare will be off the table as universal healthcare comes.

The cons have kicked out and shun reactionaries. The cons are basically the washington generals to the harlem globetrotters.

Conservatives can't conserve anything. They won't fight.

That’s just your feverish imagination. The Democrats have been winning the popular votes 7/8 elections and the GOP has won the popular vote just once in over 30 years. This shows the dems are more attuned to where Americans stand than the fraud party of trickle down economics and tax cuts for the welathy.

Can't really give tax cuts to people who don't pay taxes.

Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!! HA! Thank you for the giggle - and for your own feverish imagination.

Not PP. but that is factual. What are you laughing about? The joke is on you. All the GOP does is tax cuts. That’s it. The progressives are winning on all issues they want and they increase the taxes when they get the majority. Obamacare is now the law and irrevocable. Gay marriage is now the law. Financial regulations are here to stay. CA and NY dictate the terms on fuel efficiency standard and trumps hands are tied. Coal planets are shut down by regulations and airing them in court by Bloomberg. What exactly are the GOP wins? Zilch. Nada. Nothing.

The country goes where the progressives take it. The GOP and people like you are mere passengers without any actual control. But you are welcome to continue to live in your delusional world of GOP greatness.

"Not PP"?? You've been sock puppeting all over this forum.

Do you ever have anything of substance to contribute? Or has your trump added brain has become like moth eaten clothes.

My octogenarian parents say it’s because the Democrats have gone too far right.

False narrative being pushed by concern trolls like Bret Stephens. The supposedly radical ideas being discussed by Dems are incredibly popular.

Except you made that up out of thin air. As your high school geometry told you many times: “Show your work.”

Did you read the NYTs article and the research? GOP has gone off the right wing deep end. Democrats are more conservative than pretty much any center left party in the world.

Why have the Republicans gone off the ideological rails?

You're actually insisting a liberal publication (NYT) has published a completely unbiased "study"? I didn't make anything up. Can you actually deny that Bill Clinton's Democratic party looked nothing like today's? Of course conservatives appear to be further right nowadays - in comparison to today's lefty liberals, who wouldn't?

Lol, how did you ever pass high school math? Did you scream “fake news” at your teacher?

It’s not a NYTs study. It’s actually a super interesting research project by academics to use machine learning to analyze political party platforms, both over time and in comparative ideologies. If you enjoyed thinking, you’d explore their methodology and write a critique: https://manifesto-project.wzb.eu/

Show me something to back up your claims.

Democrats have abandoned American workers to favor millions of illegal aliens.

You are just bitter at what your own party has become

Baloney.

It was the GOP that weakened unions.
It was the GOP that supported people like Romney dismantling American businesses and shipping them overseas.
It was the GOP that gave billions in giveaways to businesses rather than force them to share their profits with the people who made it.
It is the GOP that blocks e-verify.

Where is this?

The trendy thing for Trump supporters here is to pretend they’re Democrats who don’t recognize their party anymore because immigration. It’s such a tired gimmick, but it gives them such a thrill.

Well, we've certainly heard from plenty of Democrats over the past year or so who have said exactly this. I guess they're all trolls though. Couldn't possibly be true.

Apparently, your myopia is still going strong.

Yeah right? If the Democrats are becoming Republicans why has the GOP won the popular vote just once in over 30 years? It’s nit adding up. In fact the reverse could be true because the Democrats are winning a majority of American votes.

Where did you get your data? What is your "most"? The number you imagined?

It's Trump's "many people are saying" bullshit.

Its the Australian channel echo chamber. the GOP and it’s members are brainwashed by Australian channel into believing Russians are for the good of America and Democratic Americans are the actual enemies. Go figure. The party is lost. It’s time to demolish it and rebuild from its ashes.
