All the OP had to do was Google "Parking at Montgomery College" or go to the schools website directly and check.

This is something I would have confirmed before even leaving the house or driving over there, but if I forgot I can always Google it & confirm right from my car before I step foot out of their parking lot.

OP is an adult, it's time to stop depending on others to always tell you what to do & where to go... it's called self sufficiency.

My kid took a summer camp there last month. I got 2 emails about parking. No permit is required but we need to park in the student parking lot (which is adjacent to faculty/staff parking lot). The signs on the parking lot are pretty clear. I agree with the PP, ask for a waiver politely. Or pay for the ticket.
