Actually that does happen. And many of the “insiders” claim the team is already selected at tryouts and the cuts are just for the show.
While Kelli said it doesn't mean the Showgroup members will make the full squad, I don't believe her, she's just dragging out the drama. I'm sure the team roster is known either before the show or early on in the process.
