DC police are notoriously. Well how do I put this politely...Not too many first round draft picks in their department.

Then Officer Steroid proceeds to pull out his taser on a guy who is unarmed and not physically threatening him but understandably objecting to being violently shoved repeatedly. Officer Steroid escalates the whole thing.
AND THEN Officer Steroid has the audacity to lie on his police report about the events that transpired even though he knew there was a woman recording the whole thing that would totally discredit his story.
The guy is a either a maniac or an idiot or both.

If I was one of the other two calm cops, I would be so mad at Officer Steroid. Other two officers are pretty relaxed and dealing with Mr. Advocate. Then out of nowhere Officer Steroid decides to just get aggressive and tazer the guy. The other two cops are now stuck in a situation where they have to take Mr Advocate down and are on film and going viral. I would be very annoyed if I was them. Hate it when a colleague jumps into a situation I am dealing with and decides to escalate it to 100 and create a scene.
No kidding! They seemed to have things under control, and some other guy swoops in and escalates the situation into violence. Totally unnecessary. Good cops can handle stuff like this without violence, de-escalate the situation, etc. Bad cops are looking for an excuse to escalate things.

It has language that gives WMATA immunity from being sued even if one of its officers is found guilty of civil rights violations.
How about the three jurisdictions amend the Metro Compact to give exclusive effect to Virginia law and Virginia courts for crimes committed throughout the Metro system. That would be a setback for the criminals and a win for us passengers!

Frankly, I've seen people acting aggressively on trains, throwing garbage, etc. I wish a few of them would be 'Tased.'

Ward 1 Councilmember Brianne Nadeau said on Monday that she has been in touch with Metro Police Chief Ron Pavlik about the incident.
“The video leaves little doubt in my mind that what happened was unacceptable.”
