I work in animal welfare. More and more, people do not tolerate treating animals this way either - not even feral cats.

I actually have thought about this a lot. We would not find this tolerable at an animal shelter.

Was just about to post this but I felt strange even going there. Dh is a vet, and the place is also a daycare/overnight. It’s not hard to take care of basic, basic needs.

It is if there isn’t any money to pay for anything.

Well until they pass legislation and fund, there’s not a lot to be done.

People in NM are putting immigrants in horse barns and giving them a hose to wash clothing in.

Apparently the people are here but the funds are not.

What do Congressional Democrats want to do to reduce the millions coming to the border?
Has any one of them proposed anything?

I agree. Maybe just shut the border if Dems continue to do nothing about this crisis.
