And damned if this isn’t one of the best ads introducing a candidate that I’ve ever seen, from retired Colonel Kim Olson, running in TX-24 against Kenny Marchant who won by only 3% last time. Give it a few minutes of your time, please. A+ Democratic recruit.

It's a good ad - I think done my the same folks that did Amy McGrath's and MJ Hegar.

Do. But work your butt off anyway because we’re going to need a blue tsunami to overcome the Russian interference.

He won re-election by less than 1000 votes, for the PP above who thinks that “most of the swing states already flipped.”

His former opponent, who (like you said) lost by the slimmest of margins in 2018, is running for the Seat. Her name is Gina Ortiz-Jones and is a vet- it'd be great to get her in Congress.

This seat barely went red with a popular incumbent - now that it's open, seems unlikely it'll go Republican again.

GOP retirements in the past week

Will Hurd (TX)
Mike Conaway (TX)
Pete Olson (TX)
Martha Roby (AL)
Paul Mitchell (MI)
Susan Brooks (IN)

This list will likely grow to 40-50 seats.

“I believe there will be more to come,” said Rep. Tom Reed (R-N.Y.), co-chair of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus. “Being in the minority weighs on members’ decision-making. … It is a new reality for many.”

Among those on the retirement watch list include older members, like Hal Rogers of Kentucky, Jim Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin and Don Young of Alaska; moderates, like Fred Upton of Michigan and Greg Walden of Oregon; lawmakers facing tougher races, like Texans Michael McCaul and Kenny Marchant, and Ann Wagner of Missouri; and the two members under indictment, Duncan Hunter of California and Chris Collins of New York.”
