I agree with having a safe word. DH & I like to play with ropes, handcuffs, whips, etc. I’ve only used our word twice, when I started feeling trapped and claustrophobic.

In real life I like to be in control. In bed, I like to give it up.

No need for handcuffs when you’ve got a closet full of outdated scarves going to waste. Tieing your wrists or ankles together requires that you get creative which can be a lot of fun.

OP here - I wasn’t sure about the handcuffs but last night we used them for the first time on me and it was a pretty wild experience. Since most of the work is up to the man it was quite nice to see what my husband is capable of and he delivered very nicely. Now he has me thinking about what I will do to him when he is cuffed to the bed.

We’ve done this but you really need cushioned cuffs to avoid hurting your wrists. I’m not really the submissive type but it is fun to just lie back and see what happens.
