The Obama's Hyde Park home is 1/4th the cost of his D.C. home as well. Same size, same features.
The Obama house was in Hyde Park. Had it been in Lincoln Park it'd be a lot closer to DC price levels. The Obamas currently live in Kalorama so it's not a fair comparison to Hyde Park out of all the Chicago neighborhoods.
