I don't care for the contemporary floors and other touches in that historic home. Just not the sort of decorating that I would want in a home like that.

I'm not getting the chills looking at the house, though. I don't think it has a creepy vibe to it all.

The Obama house was in Hyde Park. Had it been in Lincoln Park it'd be a lot closer to DC price levels. The Obamas currently live in Kalorama so it's not a fair comparison to Hyde Park out of all the Chicago neighborhoods.

The PP already said you could buy the Lincoln Park version of this home for $900K. Which is half the cost of this one in Logan Circle.

Homes prices are higher in DC but the property taxes in Cook County are really high. It’s shocking how low property taxes are here.

Two of my childhood homes had murders in them after we sold. One guy killed his wife and then hung himself, and in the other case, the owner was killed when her boyfriend found out she was having an affair with her female roommate and he broke in and killed them both.

I don't believe in ghosts. Far from it. But it doesn't mean I wouldn't be uncomfortable living in a house where someone died a violent death. It'd be hard for me to walk through or sleep in the room knowing a brutal murder happened in it.

I was just wondering the other day why this case didn’t seem to get much national attention. I don’t recall seeing it on national news and never seen a Dateline, 20/20, ID episode about it. Surprising considering it involved wealthy people and all of the scandal surrounding the case.

If you are buying a row house in DC someone (or multiple people) have died in the home before. Just how it is with old homes.

Now a horrific murder.....not so much.

It does not sit well with me that they are marketing this house as a piece of history. It was a horrific murder that is relatively recent. It's a tacky and slimy marketing ploy.

Without knowing, I did buy a house where the previous owner died in the master bedroom. One of the a$$hole neighbors told me after I moved it.
