Because women are horrible, insecure people towards each other.

Guy here dating 13 years younger. Call me anything you want. I'm loving it. If we broke up, I'd go even younger.

We have a ten year age difference. Ironically several of my husbands friends gave him/us grief. I gave it right back. One ended up with a younger woman so it was kinda funny. The other I still cannot stand with a passion.

You could also say it's just an extension of the patriarchy - when women weren't allowed to work or own property and their husbands were entirely responsible for their care it made sense that the man was financially well-established - i.e. - older.

People can be weird and judgemental.

What was her personality like? Maybe it had more to do with what she was presenting than her age or appearance.

Though I will add I am on the team that’s a big age gap for her phase of life. At 24 I thought a 35-year-old was pretty ancient.

Again, not all women - regardless of where they fall on the fertility spectrum - are threatened by young, beautiful women.
