My DH just said the same thing recently!

I realize that size prevents it being an option for most dogs, but ones that can fit in a carrier should be in one and — at the very least — dogs should be muzzled and harnessed. I don’t care if “he wouldn’t hurt a fly.” I wouldn’t plunk my cat down next to a person and expect them to be happy. Why do people expect it with dogs?
Why didn't you just pay the fee to bring a small animal with you in the cabin? Your cat doesn't have to be a "support pet."

It's not good for the humans, and many pet owners need to stop pretending like it's good for the dog and that Fido really just loves to travel. Unless it is a trains, certified service animal for a legit and documented medical need, this 'emotional service dog' crap needs to end. On planes, and everywhere.

I can’t believe how many people keep their dogs unleashed in local parks where the signs clearly say “all pets must be leashed.” No it’s not cute when your unleashed dog knocks over my toddler “to say hello.”
When I see an unleashed dog coming at me, or my child, I kick it. Yes, even if the dog is on a leash and comes up to sniff my crotch, he gets kicked also. I do not trust the dog or the stranger walking it

That’s disturbing! I had to stop reading the article.
They said chocolate lab/pointer mix
That is what the dog owner said, but if you look at the actual pictures of the dog, it looks like a pit bull to me.

Anonymous wrote:It makes me angry people have been allowed to bring their pets on board! There is so much abuse in the system and the airlines have done nothing. [/quo
+1 I love dogs but what happened to that passenger is beyond horrendous. I can't believe the airlines are so permissive re strangers and dogs that close to each other.

Getting mauled can change your life forever.
I agree with this, but there really isn't much a small child can do when a large dog attacks.
