It's not nice to impersonate another school. Guessing Potomac will get rung up for about 40 in the spring because you aren't man or woman enough to call yourself a BI parent. SSSAS crushed BI last year and not going to be much different for the next 2. The greatest things about last year's game was watching BI's defense get punished every time they were brave enough to move their defense outside the eight and listening to the BI parents cry while it was happening. All 3 of the truly amazing players that you are banking on were non-factors in last year's game and there is nothing but your best wishes indicating that they have made any changes. Afraid you will be even more disappointed than VISI was last year. Sorry

Maybe we should just let the girls play the games. Last May it got so embarrassing for some of the Visi and BI dads, they took the summer off from DCUM. Would really miss all of your intelligent insight if you crossed over the same line.

SSSA currently has 7 commits in the class, by comparison BI has 3. Saints should probably pick up a few more D1 and may finish around 10, which would rival the 2017 BI class.

Are they all committed or are UA All-america? Not trying to oick a fight, but looking for some 3rd party validation

I've seen this on a couple of threads, but why does everyone seem to just take for granted that SSSA is so good with their 21s? Don't they have just as many good players at BI, Visi and SR in the 21s or a combination of 20s and 21s?

Of course, SSSAS always does, but they also always have players coming up behind the graduates. Its why they win so often. 20 is a bit light on talent, as is 22, but 21 is super strong. 23s still to be seen.

No. SR will be very good, no doubt, and SSSAS will probably be even better as their 21 class is very strong. OTOH Visi is going to have problems. They lost most of their best players and don't have enough strong players coming up to make up for it.

Now that fall club is behind us, and indoor is starting is it too soon to start thinking about spring ISL? Seems like Stone Ridge is the club to beat this season with SSSA and Visi fighting for second, no?

Right, so dont use those lists to determine where your DD should play.

The high school she goes to is not important for getting recruited to play in college, as noted above. Of course, college coaches are aware that certain schools do regularly have more of the area's best players and, in our area, far more outstanding players come from the ISL league private schools than any where else. Those schools usually have the most well known and connected coaches. Also, there is the argument that you get better when you play with better players and against better compeition.

As for club, she can play for any club and if she is good college coaches will notice. She will have a much better chance though if her club is playing in the right tournaments - and some like the Cheaspeake and the G8 are invitation-only and favored by the top colleges. So, pick a club that is well-established and gets invited to those tournaments as that will help.

Its not really a big mystery - you need to be a great player, a great athlete, and willing to give the sport much of your time and effort.
