I'm not the best at reading humor sometimes) and some other stuff, but as an update: felt so much better on this protocol than at SG's (where I had my previous cycle). Even better, the doctor retrieved almost double the eggs than at SG (the same number visible at monitoring for both, but I'd never even met the doctor who did my retrieval at SG). I have DOR so this is absolutely huge for us! Never expected this great an outcome, hopefully a couple of embryos result from that.

Commented earlier about issues with my nurse... it doesn't really end. Doctor forgot I have one ovary, kept looking for the other. Financial counselor never even submitted pre-auth papers to my insurance. Previous nurse sent my prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy, even though I gave her the name and phone number of mine. Makes me miss the factory-level efficiency of SG. If I hadn't paid already I'd move elsewhere.

Anonymous wrote:GW seems more conservative than CCRM in protocol as well as in lab (prefer day 3 over 5)
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:amazing. how many eggs/embryos/blasts did you get per cycle?
Cycle 1
13 eggs retrieved
11 mature
8 fertilized
2 made it
1 normal
Cycle 2
9 eggs retrieved
6 mature
Can’t remember how many fertilized
2 made it
2 normal
This is amazing. Did you cycle anywhere else first? I’m at GW and can never get any normals. Wondering if I need to switch to CCRM
One stim cycle abroad, 3 eggs retrieved one made it to blast, fresh transfer, BFN.
I also added some supplants, vitamin d, melatonin, vitamin c and COQ10 and changed acupuncturists. CCRM protocols were much more aggressive.
Can you elaborate on this, please? What was the difference in protocols between GW and CCRM?

Transferred a total of 8 embryos and had 3 miscarriages. They suspected a quality issue. With my first cycle at CCRM, we got 6 PGS normal embryos. I know plenty of GW babies, so at the end of the day, I think luck plays a part. But I definitely recommend scheduling a consultation with CCRM at the very least. Nothing to lose.
Thanks so much. I am the PP who is thinking of switching. I have an appointment with CCRM in a few weeks. I’m scared to let myself get hopeful again though.
