There it is, folks, the reason many reasonable people are skeptical of climate change hysteria. It is a too-convenient weapon in the global fight against capitalism. (btw, communist countries wrecked havoc on the environment, comrade).

There is a global war on capitalism? Seriously? I think you are mistaken.
At any rate, I am not anti-capitalism. I benefit from this market immensely.
But you [general] are delusional if you don't think it is protection of capitalistic interests that keeps high level change from happening. And that is why capitalism is a problem, in its current state.
People are protecting current interests instead of looking into the future and seeing how new technologies can be big business and 1. help mitigate climate change (which might be too late) and more importantly: 2. Mitigate the effects of climate change on people and habitats so we can survive.

Seriously? Capitalism has done more to save lives than you can count! From medical treatments, medications, safe means of travel, safer forms of shelter, quality food that has been tested, etc. Scary you don’t realize this.

Would you stop using ziplocs to help your kids have less plastic in the their oceans in the future?
A better choice would be to never fly again and always take the bus or train to work. Not using plastic cutlery isn’t going to make a huge difference and is just easy for you to donso you do it. But for environmentalists to stop flying? Now that would change things!
Of course not flying would change things more significantly. But...we do what we can. Some things cannot be avoided. Flying is one of them. I have to fly to be employed and to see my ill and aging parents.
I DON'T HAVE to use plastic forks or eat meat or use a gas mower or over consume.
We do what we can.
You can absolutely find a job that doesn’t require travel. Seeing elderly parents isn’t necessary. You could stop flying if you really wanted to, but you have excuses. That’s what I dislike about environmentalists. They don’t promote or support policy that actually makes a difference.

+googolplex!
It is frightening how dumb and naïve many are when it comes to capitalism's immense benefits to society.
