Those who had good experience with juvederm, could you share your dermatologist's info/office details please?

Bump. Any thoughts on pain and bruising from filler injections?

For those who have had fillers in your naso-labial folds, how much did it hurt and did you have bruising?

I got restylane injected there once about 12 years ago (I’ve always had creases there), and despite going to a cosmetic dermatologist who bragged about how great he was with a needle and how he could do fillers with no bruising, it hurt so much I could barely finish the procedure and I had bruising that lasted for days.

I started doing regular Botox a couple of years ago, but my smile lines have, of course, gotten worse over the years. I’ve avoided fillers because of my previous bad experience, but I’m really starting to lose fat in my face so thinking about giving fillers another try.

You could get juvederm then go back to the same injector for the exact same thing with longer lasting fillers. Like a practice run.

Is that what you mean?

Not marionette lines, but the lines running from the outer corners of each nostril down to the top corners of your upper lip. The technical term is nasolabial folds if you want to google.

Does this help the bottom part of the line like that smokers pooch by the lips (though I am not a smoker)?

Had it done for NL folds. Wanted to use Bella Fill and so glad I didn’t! The allergy test left a dark mark on my arm and is till there today after 4 months. I do worry that I have started something I won’t want to stop. Do you think it stretches the skin out even more over time? I only had one syringe if that matters and opted not to do cheeks but I think it would have looked better if I had.

I did it basically under the eye/top of the cheekbone. It basically lifts your face slightly and plumps it up a bit while smoothing out lines. I didn't even know I needed anything particularly, but the before and after pics they took of me were SHOCKING. I didn't realize I looked old and tired (or maybe I did) but the effect was amazing. You do need to go to someone who is very good, and take their advice. Or go to several cosmetic surgeons (No MEDSPAs!) and get a couple of consultations.

I also did my lips, and brought a photo of when I was around 18. They did minor lip injections based on the photo--no duck lips, nothing obvious at all. Several friends remarked on how great I looked. "new make up? Lighten your hair? Working out more?"

They were shocked when I told them, since I never discussed what i was thinking previously.

I'm 52 for reference.

I am 50 and have a single "furrow of consternation" right where my third eye should be and smile lines have just started to become apparent. If I was to get filler it would be in those two areas, and if I chose just ONE it would probably be the smile lines.

Unfortunately, I cant afford ANY of this so it doesnt matter.

Nearly everyone on this thread is talking about Juvederm like it is one filler. It is actually a collection of fillers.
