How do you know what happens at "many" centers? Do you work with FCPS? I've seen it happen a couple times at a center for only math, likely because that center didn't have compacted math for Gen Ed. This happened years ago though, and I know a couple parents who were told by the principal that they no longer pupil place kids, even for math.

Both DC were then tagged as level 3 (although one of them did get accepted into AAP subsequently). The other DC was principal placed in a L4 classroom BUT this is not guaranteed and is dependent on whether there is place in the class or not.
