Got pregnant at nearly 36 on the first try. Healthy kid. Got pregnant again at nearly 40, after 9 months of trying. I have 8 more weeks to delivery but genetic analysis so far looks good. Fingers crossed... The second pregnancy has been somewhat harder than the first (more pronounced symptoms) but not materially different.

Yes, twice.

For #2, it took about 8 months but we did it on our own. (Conceived #1 without interventions as well.) I was 37 at conception. For #3, we it took two months of trying. I was 39.


I really found that OPKs were the key every single time. Maybe it was just my cycle....

Well, I had a child at 33 and wasn't able to conceive again. No detectable infertility or autoimmune issues, male or female.

So YMMV.

I had my first via IVF at 42 then a surprise baby conceived naturally at 45 and delivered at 46.

I think it depends. If you have a problem, then your chances are basically zero. It’s not 18% for everyone. Also, if you haven’t had a child before, it will most likely be much harder.

Hahahha no, I’m just curious. There is a lot of talk on the TTC board, which i still follow, about conceiving over 35.

I think the TTC forum is not a good judge of how fertile most women are or are not in their 30s.
