I attempted to reason with him that they may have kids to pick up or something not going right that day, and he said that's their problem. I knew i couldn't spend my life with someone that couldn't empathize with other people. OP, you don't know why they are trying to go fast. You could at least pull over and let them by; it costs you nothing.
The speed limits are what they are for a REASON. A speed limit of 35 usually means a residential area or a school crossing or a school bus route. There is no reason that is "worthy" of putting others in danger. Someone trying to go much faster than the speed limit does not have the right of way because "they might be picking up their kids." How about we keep the kids of that residential or school area safe, huh?
Idiotic attempt at logic. Your then-boyfriend dodged a bullet with you.

It's got to be a man. Women don't wake up to post at 6am, looking to fight random people on the internet about fighting with other drivers.
Hate post on a mommy website about hate driving? I think woman.
When was the last time a woman called you "young Jedi"?
OP, are you a man? I mean anatomically, not morally.

Only a Maryland driver would consider driving the speed limit an aggressive act on the road.

Intentionally driving below the speed limit (by repeatedly slowing down as OP states she does) to intentionally piss off other drivers is aggressive. And a dick move. And then posting on DCUM about her hate driving is more of a dick move.
- not MD driver

Anonymous wrote:OP, rule following's fine. A lot of us do that. You're not describing yourself as an upstanding rule follower.
You're saying you deliberately drive dangerously when someone else expresses anger with your driving by driving dangerously. That makes two drivers who are aggressively reacting to each other by driving driving dangerously. It's bad enough that you and the other driver are endangering yourselves, but you're also risking the safety and lives of anyone in the area.
Please stop what you're doing before you end up hurting someone.
Anonymous wrote:OP how often are people beeping at you? Because if it it's a lot you are the common denominator. I drive safely, stop at crosswalks and stop signs and drive the speed limit and I don't have people beeping at me left and right. Maybe you aren't the wonderful driver you think you are.
Anonymous wrote:Op here, I dont drive under the limit, but if you are beeping at me on a city street (not highway) and I am driving the speed limit OR stopping as legally required at a stop sign, or yielding for bike lanes, OR actually reading the sign that says NO TURN ON RED... sorry ragers.
You will be beeping and I will continue to drive safely and slowly on purpose. Never been shot in 20 years for it and sorry, not buying that narrative.
