there is a very big difference between Lyft and Uber. Lyft is superior - and no I don't own any stock.

Only reason you're having such positive experiences with yellow cab is because Uber/Lyft are taking ridership away from them. when they were the only option on the block, they treated passengers like shit. Competition is good.

Yes, cabs are for white people. I have been in busy urban areas and as an Asian guy, only about half as many cabs will stop for me as will stop for white people. And far more will stop for me than for my darker skinned friends. I have no love lost for cab drivers and their racial profiling.
Uber and Lyft are far friendlier to the minorities.
