The education was amazing, the coursework tough, and the kids all seemed nice and well-rounded. Internships are emphasized and the size of the school was perfect. I will forever be grateful that my kid got in and was so happy and successful. We are both teachers as parents and are pretty well versed in education, so I feel like I know what I’m talking about. Bucknell might not fit everyone, but we were very happy. My kid had an IB diploma from FCPS and was well-prepared.

For a science major you want Colgate, Lehigh, or Bucknell
For business you may want Lehigh for its proximity to NYC but Colgate and Bucknell have equally strong programs
For engineering Lehigh is above the rest, but Bucknell is fine too.
I know nothing about W&L other than its lily white frat nonsense reputation.
Jobs coming out of the humanities are dying.

Snobby kids maybe. Mediocre grades no.
Everyone I know who went to bucknell works on wall st or in finance now.
PP here. Same here - definitely a wall street feeder. Not the atmosphere I personally wanted for my kids and there's likely flexibility for full pay private school kids in terms of academic performance and admittance but overall it's a well regarded school and most of the kids that are accepted have put up decent grades.
