I really enjoyed the Vienna Moms club. It had a variety of activities and wasnt affiliated with a larger organization.

This alone would make me not join and instead find some more open-minded friends.

Because the activities are mostly midweek.
I worked FT but do shift work so work 2 weekends a month and have 2-3 days off mid week.
The official MOMS CLUB organization had so many rules though we started our own offshoot. Loved it. My kid is 13 now and we’re still friends with the friends we made.

I went to a MOMS Club event in NOVA years ago. It was so weird. Admittedly I am introverted, but not a single person said hi and it was clear that new people like me were just awkwardly milling around waiting for the event to start, while the organizer talked to her 2 people. No welcome to new folks or any talk about how the evening would go or any encouragement to mingle. I think it was a yoga meet up, with random bagged snacks left on a back table which nobody noticed or knew if we were welcome to?

Now DD is old enough that I go to PTA events and its the same dynamic. 3 or 4 moms that know each other running the thing with them doing whatever they can to ignore the new women.

Our town moms group had playgroups and started making WOH mom playgroups separate from SAH mom playgroups. It worked out really well. They did it with larger age group spans. So if the SAH moms had a new group every 6 months based on kid ages then the working moms groups would have a new group with kids in the range of about a year or two and then with siblings the group could get large quick. The moms became friends and it was a nice way to converse about work and parenting and marriage.

Pretty much exact same for me many years ago, haha. Serving on the board included. I made several friends talking to people at the playground, introducing myself to neighbors while on walks, and through preschool. The MOMs club didn’t do much for me.

I've been in several MOMS Clubs over the years, and I can really sympathize with what everyone is saying. It can be a GREAT experience, but it depends on the moms in the chapter. If they're welcoming and open, it's a life-saver. If they're a clique and not interested in meeting new people, it's not great. I can say, that International doesn't require that chapters split anymore. They do recommend that chapters be between 30-60 members, and that large ones sister, but that's only to make a chapter more local and accessible. Super large chapters can be really hard to organize, and it's hard to get to know each other. But no, they don't require sistering into multiple chapters, though they might encourage it.
