8:55.soccer mom of a decade back to add: lower your voices. Some of you moms think that because you are outside, we can't hear you gossip and ramble on to the other mom next to you. Shut up. I'm watching the game.
Second grade girl's travel soccer: don't rest on your laurels. I contend that this is far too young to begin travel. The girls I know who played travel this young no longer played at all by middle school. Too much, too soon and all for parent benefit. Lots of stage parents. Is making the D team in 2nd grade really remarkable or valuable in player development?
Dads, you're a collective mess, too. Sorry you had a rough time growing up but this isn't your redemption or pay back or chance at glory.

Parents who do not coach from the sidelines and otherwise quietly watch the games.
Parents who themselves are good sports and display an easy, relaxed and mature view of the game. It is just a game, after all.
Parents who do not talk about their children's soccer prowess.
Parents who do not endlessly complain or humble brag about the crazy soccer travel schedule. We get it.
