I agree a second opinion is warranted. Too many dentists quick to drill.

Does anyone have any dentists that they recommend who don't have the fancy websites/offices/gimmicks? Someone old school who take a more conservative approach to maintaining teeth?

My son has soft enamel in his adult teeth -got a real bad virus at 18months that landed him in the hospital with febrile seizures (temp of 105) and the permanent teeth that were forming at the time did not develop strong enamel. Lots of cavities in those teeth, although his other teeth seem mostly OK.
