Well if she's pregnancy at 40 clearly, her body was designed to have them later. I had a healthy baby at 42 with no assistance, the female body was designed to have children as long as one's body can have children.

I haven't found that it makes one bit of difference. I get along with all of the parents I meet on the playground and around the neighborhood. We get invited for playdates and other activities. I don't try to hide my age but I also don't lead with it.
