Open it and say you thought it was for you or your kid. I would then send a card to the crazy woman thanking her for thinking your family on Valentine’s Day so that she knows you look at everything.

Not if she's in the habit of sending cards for all occasions. It would make sense, actually. In Asia, people give New Year's cards or the little red enveloped with a crisp new bill. In Japan, there's no money, but you have the social obligation to send a card to literally all your private and professional acquaintance.

So what you do is that you open it because you "thought it was a Lunar New Year's card". And who knows, maybe there's money in it



Married people do not receive red pocket money, only single people.


Must depend on the particular region &/or family. I have had 2 Asian co-workers who gave them to everyone in the office & a girl in my college dorm who gave them to everybody who lived on our hall. My nephew (who lives & attends elementary school in a heavily Asian district) had an Asian teacher give them to every child in the class.

Unless she’s grandma, this woman is nuts.

No one sends cards anymore.

I have two lifelong friends (since elementary) who are opposite gender and send cards. One is nuts. The other always sends family photos along with any note.

Trash. Or return to sender. Why is she sending stuff to your house and WHY did hubby give her his address?
