Doubtful. Big League Politics was the first to break this story.
But - Gillespie's team could have done a better job in their research.
Having said that - where in the hell are investigative journalists these days? This was sitting on the shelf at the school he attended.
Oh, that's right.... he's a Democrat.
You think the Republicans working oppo research for Gillespie ignored this because Northam is a Democrat? That doesn’t make much sense.
Why do you think Gillespie did not raise this?
They were afraid that if they did, all the Republicans would vote for Northam.

A photo from Gov. Ralph Northam’s medical school yearbook shows two men, one in blackface and one in a Ku Klux Klan robe and hood, on the same page as the governor.
The photo, which The Virginian-Pilot obtained a copy of Friday from the Eastern Virginia Medical School library, comes from the 1984 yearbook, the year Northam graduated.
On the half-page set aside for Northam, there is a headshot of him in a jacket and tie, a photo of him in a cowboy hat and boots and a third of him sitting casually on the ground, leaning against a convertible.
The fourth photo on the half-page has two people, one wearing white Ku Klux Klan robes and a hood, the other with his face painted black. The person with the black face is also wearing a white hat, black jacket, white shirt with a bow tie and plaid pants. Both are holding canned drinks.
It’s unclear who the people in costume are.
The governor’s office did not immediately respond to requests for comment Friday afternoon.
Yikes, another racist Southern Democrat! Didn't they head-up the KKK? Yes, they did.

What you mean like Al Franken resigning because of a dopey picture while our GOP POTUS is on video bragging about grabbing women's pussies and has been accused by 16 women of sexual assault was elected President?
+1. I’m a Democrat but this is the problem with the far left. They think they’re doing a good thing by pointing out all the dumb stuff people on our side have done in the past and calling for their resignation/removal. Then the right-wingers take advantage of it and we lose otherwise good people like Franken, who made a bad decision in the past before they were even involved in politics. We insist on trying to be the adults in the room while Republicans get away with so much because their voters/supporters just don’t care.
As a staunch conservative and Trump supporter, I thought Franken should have NOT resigned. Frankly, she had years to speak up and didn't. And while this photo of Northam is ugly, it was a long long time ago. More concerned about how the photo of Farrakhan and Obama was hidden before the election as that was NOT a long long time ago.

If Northam has no excuse for that pic and resigns, I am fine with Lt Gov Justin Fairfax taking over. He is a great option for Virginia.
What would be an acceptable excuse? His family held at gunpoint off camera, and their lives dependent on him wearing blackface and posing with a klan member?
That he did something stupid when he was young and he was sorry. Similar to GW Bush driving drunk and Jeff Sessions on the record saying all sorts of racist stuff and still getting confirmed as Attorney General.
Sorry, no. If this is real, it’s one of the most repulsive and shameful images imaginable.
It is repulsive. So is driving drunk and saying racist stuff.
We’re talking about the governor here. Keep up. Should he resign?
Did GW Bush witdraw when the stuff about his DWI came out? Did Trump withdraw when the pussy grabbing recording came out? They were candidates and they continued and won.
So another lib who is fine with this. Hypocrite.

Along with the Democrat party.

Sure, let's put him on the Supreme Court.
?
Kavanaugh had a credible woman PhD accusing him of trying to rape her. Far worse than having a blackface picture on your yearbook page in my book.
