BRYC needs to address that coaching issue immediately. However the training groups dont mingle like described. Not at all. Being on the same field under an academy style is not the same as practicing with them.

Did a few internet searches to see if their names pop up anywhere but nothing yet. It is not an easy time of year to line up another coaching gig, let alone another TD job.
Wonder if getting kicked out of NPL(if it is true) was the nail in the coffin for Lee...I can understand why NPL would be pissed to be used as a stepping stone.
Yeah I feel bad for those coaches, some probably very depended on that income. As the TD, Lee should have know better to break away from the rules of an organization you are brand new to. Does anyone know if the decision to kick SYC out of NPL came in before or after Lee's departure. Anyone spoken to their former coaches since the changes were made?
Getting kicked out wasn't on Lee but on Dotty. Este refused to go to the NPL meeting and then Dotty insinuated they would apply for CCL in the future. They're apparently getting ready to fire a bunch of coaches too.
Well based on what I have heard (and observed) this trainwreck can be placed at Dotty's feet. So Este refused to attend the NPL meeting once he had joined SYC? Do you know why? And what club is getting ready to fire coaches? Alexandria? LMVSC? Or are more SYC coaches getting cut?
SYC is getting ready to fire coaches. Basically just keeping them in place until they have the replacement lined up, like they did to Lee.
This whole thing is on Dotty, and it's a really sh***y thing to do IMO. It's great that Lee found a new job, but I'd be very surprised if all the coaches they fired (or are planning to) are able to the same. "Travel soccer is a year long commitment ..." or so we are told. That means there aren't very many job openings at all this time of year. Most coaches make about $10,000 per team per year. So if you figure the SYC coaches were coaching 2 teams, firing them at this point in the year will cost them at least $10,000 that they were counting on over the next 6 months. That's a lot to take out of a family budget, particularly for folks who aren't making a whole lot to begin with.
It would be one thing if they were fired b/c of bad conduct, lack of professionalism, or otherwise poor performance. But this had nothing to do with any of that. This was just a stupid power play by Dotty. Downright cruel if you ask me.
Don't know why any coach in their right mind would want to go there as long as she's still calling the shots.
It really seems like nobody currently at the club, players or coaches, matter to Dotty or Este. Glad we played and paid for SYC so LMVSC players and coaches can make a new home.
