Thank you 22:53! That really helps. I was a little skeptical because of the language used on the website, especially given we're using a surrogate so nothing will be going on with my body, but good to hear your experiences.

I’m the PP that posted about Heal from Within. I hear you, I actually never was into support groups, so I was pleasantly surprised that I liked this one so much. It’s very very informal. We all sit in a circle and yes there is a meditationat the beginning but it is silent and really meant to just get everyone calm and breathing before we start. The moderator says a few words and then we all go around and introduce ourselves and talk about where we are at in this crazy journey. You can share as little or as much information as you want. Then it is pretty open. Topics form organically and in the 8 or so times I’ve been there has not really been a lull in the conversation. I like that it isn’t overly structured. There are a set of 4-5 of us that tend to come every month. But also have many people that come once or twice and then don’t come again.

Definitely no commitment so if you come once and it’s not for you, that is totally fine.

It really has been life changing for me to find a group of women who are going through similar struggles where you can be open and honest. All of my close friends have kids and haven’t struggled with this so I was feeling pretty lonely and isolated.
