Adjudicating parentage is a lengthy process. A court will not automatically overturn a "legal" father who signed the birth certificate. If it's after two years not easy. Probably won't change the child's name either.
OP what state are you in?
Live in PA.
Do you mean that if she comes forward demanding support and so on, DH wouldn’t have to pay?
What about inheritance.
Can you please just tell us what this magical significant crazy hair and complexion MIL has are????

OP can you clarify? And what do you mean you're not "paranoid"? I would dna that kid so fast it would make your head spin, lol...if the resemblance was that similar.
Our child is adopted. Years ago I would have done DNA right away, but honestly now, I am reluctant. My head is racing. Thinking about things like property being split and so in. Our own child’s inheritance. I simply don’t want to know. However I might not be totally in control of that. BTW it’s not just hair color, it’s complexion.
How would you do a dna test on someone else's child?
I meant that years ago, when I was younger and more reactive, I would have reacted in such a way that a DNA test might have been inevitable.

Not in PA, the legal father is the one on the birth certificate. The only way that child could get inheritance is if you husband chose to leave some.

Genetics isn’t that simple.
OP here. Not a hint of red? I’m not used to redheads but every time I see them, the whole family has a tinge.
That's not how it works.
