My kids both do sleep overs and we host sleepovers. There are kids here nearly every weekend (teens) and/or one or both of them are at a friends house.
Let the kids have a break from you, and you a break from them, and see how other families operate. They might realize things are better at home.

+1000! Sleepovers are great! Sooo much for the kids. I don't mind them at all! My DS (now 12) has been doing them since age 6 or so. We've never had any issues whatsoever. Granted, it's never been with strangers (duh). What has you guys so uptight?!
While I agree with you completely, your last sentence made me laugh. This is DCUM, home of the uptight whackos! Do you not know this by now???![]()

At 10yo "sleepovers" there is literally NO sleeping.
But I only allow kids to sleepover if I know and trust the parents.

For parents who hate sleepovers - did you have sleepovers when you were a kid?
Just curious.
