It all depends on if she is responding and engaged in the text chats or if the texting is one-sided from your part.

I love texting; I text all day long with my boyfriend and when in other possible relationships if a guy didn't chat with me a lot I got annoyed by it.

The way she reacts to your texts indicates if she's someone who likes that type of communication or not. Don't send vague texts that don't require responses if you want to understand her feelings.

If she thinks of you as just a friend, more than 1-2 a week is too much.

If she might be interested in you, texting without asking her out is annoying. And eventually she will friend zone you because she was sick of waiting and lost respect for you.

Just ask her out!
