I'm not a fan of Webb and stopped going to his programs a few years ago. However, his job (as a business owner) is to sell you a dream. Every kid isn't able to realize that dream and as a parent, it's on you to make that dream a reality or figure out whether or not your kid has the potential. There are plenty of families in the Chantilly area that are willing to pay for getting their kids into an extracurricular activity...even if they have no chance of being a good player. Therefore, he really has no incentive to work hard. The kids who are great athletes will always get the best training.
I strongly disagree with this. I think coaches who sell kids and parents a dream are not doing anybody any favors. It's really easy for kids to get so focused on the next level or two levels up that they lose the joy of what's happening now. My kid had coaches telling him starting in about 8th grade that he needed to think of basketball like a job because the kids he was competing with would be looking to feed their families with it one day. It was ridiculous.
Coaches should sell the joy of competition and of developing skills.

He doesn’t even help the elite athletes. He’s training is two sons and everybody else out there is getting the bare minimum.
