Also, many of the worst mental health issues show up after children are over 18.

Oh, he’s white so it’s “mental illness”.

No, the fact that he killed his mother makes me believe it’s mental illness, regardless of race.

I'm going to go with entitled (white) adult male who was mad his mommy said "no" (for once) to him about something, and the adult male threw a deadly temper tantrum. Unfortunately, it's an all too common story.

So it’s Mom’s fault she was murdered? Didn’t raise him right? Misogynistic much?

Uh, no. It's not misogynistic to say that how you parent your kids has consequences. That goes for the mom, and the dad (wherever he is, particularly if
absent)

You just want to believe that if you do “everything right”, nothing like this could ever happen to you. It’s a way of distancing yourself from it, and feeling safe. It’s a rather classic response, and FOS.

+1
Mental issues happen also in families with good parenting skills.

DP- I’m know this is an anonymous forum, and your I’d is free to run amuck, but can I suggest you try some empathy. A woman is dead and family is shattered today..

Just don’t engage. And I hope that he doesn’t live with his poor mother!

Well, not sure, but it was either him or another relative that went to the Frost school and that is, in fact, for mentally ill kids. It starts in elementary school and kids are pretty severely affected. Our friends kid wouldn’t be alive today if not for that school.

It looks like he has a very loving family. Poor family.

I wonder how it came to be that they were at the park after dark or st the church when there were no services? That’s strange.

It’s not his current neighborhood and he would have passed other parks. May have been a completely random spot to pull over and try to talk if things were getting heated during a drive.

If that was the case that was one bad drive home for the mom.
Young men are the most dangerous beings on the planet.

I think NBC said they left her home together at 5:30 and drive directly to the church. Very, very odd. Perhaps they are Catholic and hoped to get counsel from a priest?

Per NBC4
“Montgomery County police said Jaclyn and her son drove from her home in Rockville about 5:30 p.m. Friday to the church on Dunster Road.”

Maybe he was having mental issues but his psychiatrist was away so she thought she’d see if a priest could help? No actual idea - just speculating.
If you call the cops your kid might end up dead after all.

It’s a great church. My kids went to preschool there for years and we loved that community. They didn’t have school or church activities there then they said so - no idea except what you said about meeting a priest. Mom would know why if that was the case.

The church offices are closed now it says. That leaves meeting with a priest privately or planning a funeral.

The parish office and meeting rooms will be closed Wednesday, December 26, 2018 through Tuesday, January 1, 2019, in observance of the Christmas and New Years holidays. We will re-open at 8:30 am on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. If you need a parish priest, please call the main number, 919-865-5700 and select option 4. To contact our Funeral Ministry, please call 865-5712.

Yes- everything is the moms fault.
Grow up, PP. Time to grow up and be responsible for yourself.
