Obviously the real reason is I cannot possibly consume all those cookies. The kids were always cool with it and I hyped them up as I went around handing them to students; "Thank Tyler for the cookies!" teacher probably should have done something like that. Sorry your kid is bummed.

Or her gift bags looked a lot like the gift she received and she didn’t notice in the moment. I would explain it that way to my child. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes.

I wonder if it is the same teacher. she wrote a nice card and gave a small bag of chocolates. they had some scavenger hunt and the teacher gave my daughters gift to the winning team. a group of girls that are not nice to my daughter. she was so stunned she didn't know what to do. this is middle school. I thought about not doing gifts but my daughter wanted to. she reported back that only 2 out of 8 staff were genuinely thankful. so no gifts anymore. it was so different in elem. school. and to think, I almost threw a gift card in each bag!! I told my daughter that some.people are tacky and this teacher, who she likes, was rude but to not make a.big deal out of it. we both lost respect for her.
Teachers. Don't. Want. Those. Gifts.
Get it into your thick head.
You are rude. Learn how to graciously receive gifts. It is not very hard to do.
I am not a teacher, and graciously receive giftsBut understand that teachers in general do not need or want that sort of gift.
