You're going to the wrong movies.

I’m 34, and I am religious. And I’ve gone back and forth in my lifetime. So yes I’ve seen lots of movies I ‘shouldnt’ have. But at this point, I’m choosy.

It IS worse now. I’m trying tot think of when I noticed the difference. It’s gone up in stages, with the 10-15 years ago; then recently at about 5 years ago—even worse. I would give examples, but there are so many. For some reason Deadpool comes to mind. I think HD added to it, and also being in the ‘golden age’ with SO much content viewership, there’s a desire for Hollywood to explore avenues they didn’t before.

Another 39 year old co-signing. I hate horror and violence, even if campy. I don't mind language as much but it's distracting when overused.

I can't remember the last time I saw a film with a good sex scene, gratuitous or not. If it was well done I'd enjoy that.

I agree as well. I really don't need to see sex on screen or graphic violence. If I go to an R-rated movie and it turns out it's only for language I'm relieved.

This is why I LOVE British television. A murder happens but the focus is not on the violence and in your face grotesque act but focuses instead on plot on character development.
