Ban pork for religious reasons? then shouldn't beef be banned too? Why can't they have 2 different menus.
They already effectively do have two different menus because every day has a vegetarian option as well as a meat-based option (which also provides an alternative for those who don't eat beef). But that aside, you're talking about a preference as opposed to a religious mandate. Just because culturally someone might prefer pork doesn't mean they can't eat something else.
Chinese are always being screwed, Chinese don't have any religious holidays technically, but their Chinese New Year is just as important as any religious holiday, but CNY will never be recognized on APS calendar.
Pork is a huge part of Chinese cuisine. Chinese need to start advocating for themselves if they want Moon festival and Cny on the calendar.
YES!! agreed
While I do agreed that the chinese are screwed, it would need to be religious to get it on the calendar. Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish new year and it gets on the calendar because it's more religious vs country oriented. Start celebrating it religiously?

Anonymous wrote:I would guess it is a food quality issue. Pork doesn't have the same quality grading system other foods do and isn't eaten in homes as much as a hot meal (not talking lunch meat).

Did ou know that it is not mandatory for your kid to eat the school lunch? She can bring her own.
Also, did you know that APS has not banned pork products? Staggering, I know.
Happy to provide this PSA to the chronic dumbasses among us.

Not true. Food poisoning is much more likely to be caused by vegetables.

They should just cut out meat altogether.
