I agree, and this is so mean.
I think Elrich is plump and jolly and handsome. So there.
Lol. Elrich has charisma. I mean, he’s old and overweight but he’s somehow very attractive. He also knows how to engage with people. He listens and he cares. And he has posted some pictures of himself When he was in his teens and early 20s and he was hot.
He still thinks he's hot. I'm patiently waiting for women he's harassed to come forward. He flirts big time. I've heard multiple women call him a "dirty old man" and a "creepy lech." These are women I personally know who've encountered him at fundraisers, galas, other evening events, etc. Honestly, I'm shocked it didn't come out during the campaign.
So what if he’s a flirt? He isn’t married. Flirting is not harassment. It’s not as if he’s saying grab them by the pu$$y. Let the guy have fun, clearly some women are into him. And he’s not creepy, he’s just really intense and cares what people have to say.
He’s not some polished politician with a trophy wife and campaign literature plastered with a perfect nuclear family wife and kids and white picket fence. He’s an interesting guy, talk to him! I like that at his age he will eat and drink and be a human being. We elected him for his brains and vision and strategy, not for being a Choir Boy.
He needs to take a good mile long walk each day so he doesn’t die.
He’s got a treadmill desk in his office. He’s overweight but I don’t know of any chronic health problems.
~Worked with him for 8 years.
Does he use it??

First of all, stop flattering yourselves. If someone is friendly and intense it doesn't mean they want you.
Second, you're giving more credence to the misogynistic backlash and Trumpsters who say it's a scary time to be a man or that it's a witch hunt if they look at you the wrong way. Repeated unwanted actions and physical violation is harassment. Mild flirtation from an unmarried man is not. It's human nature and it's fun.
Would you rather our CE be some puritanical whacko like Mike Pence?
Wow.
The women I know are in their 30s/early 40s and very obviously married. And they are smart enough to know when a man is being friendly or crosses into creepy old man/lech territory.
Honestly, I'd rather have a CE who didn't come onto much younger women at events where he is seemingly working.
Reread your post, pp. Just wow. (I wonder if you are Ehlrich?)

No, I'm someone who has known him for years and I know his personality. He is playful. Some women like that. If you don't, tell him so and move on. We don't have to live in a draconian world where men need to sign a consent form to make a flirtatious glance at you. At least, I don't want to live in that world.
I get it, you don't like Elrich. You don't have to vote for him. You don't even have to live here. There is no need to slander someone on an anonymous forum because you don't like his politics.
I voted for Marc Elrich, not Mike Pence. I didn't vote for his Christian wholesomeness.
Also, why is it ok to go after his appearance? You wouldn't think that would be appropriate if he were a woman, would you? It would be wrong and sexist to make personal attacks on an overweight woman - so why is it ok to go after Marc for that? You don't think he has a doctor?
Hold his feet to the fire on policies, yes. But his weight and his relationships are none of your damn business. This thread should be closed.
I didn't attack his appearance of health. Rather, I referenced how some women I know personally have reported that he hit on them at public events. You yourself have said that he's "playful." I suspect you've seen him hit on women and observed that it makes them uncomfortable. And yet here you are defending him. Boys will be boys, amirite? And flirting with married women 30+ years younger than you is harmless, amirite?
FTR, I voted for him. But that doesn't discount his behavior with women...which you yourself seem to acknowledge.

Horseshoe theory. The farther left or right you go the closer it is. The orange fat and entitled fascist idiot versus the gray haired Takoma Park fat and entitled communist idiot.
