this This THIS!!!!!!
makes no difference if it’s gas powered or electric. They BOTH pollute, either right there where they’re being used, or at the power plant where the electricity is made. Either way it’s pollution. Also, both are noisy. One goes “whurrrrrrrrrrrrr” and the other goes “whirrrrrrrr”, and both are irritating AF. They need to ban both kinds. Whatever happened to just raking leaves? If you can’t rake them yourself, pay someone to. There’s lots of kids in this city without a job. If people would hire them to rake leaves (because they had to, since blowers were banned) it would introduce an economic incentive.
BAN THEM ALL!!!!
You are a troll...right...

Anonymous wrote:Ok, to be fair, they are just talking about it. (However the one concil woman that was talking to channel 4 seemed definite about it.)
They want to ban leaf blower due to the noise and the polution.
However, there are no decent alternatives, and those of us that are older, or in my case blown up with the resulting neck injury, cant spend hours raking leaves.
Further more, paying someone to do it for me costs alot more money than the one time cost of a leaf blower.
Not to mention the fact that you only use it in the late fall. Seriously, how much noise it realistically generated for a few weeks out of the year?
Seems like someone is trying to pass a law to pretend they are making a difference, as opposed to tackling something actually important.
Anonymous wrote:OP, an electric leaf-blower makes a lot less noise and pollution. It's good that cities are encouraging the use of quieter, pollution-light, alternatives.

Anonymous wrote:I work from home. I also rake my leaves in the fall. I listen to my neighbor's landscape service "broom clean" the lawn of leaves weekly in the fall, using multiple, very loud gas-powered blowers. In the spring and summer, they use them as well, bouncing particles of pollen and dust from their walkways.
Ban these suckers!
