I'm in Rockville with ice pellets hitting my window and snow for the past 2 hours
Hence no change for 2 hours and they announce past 8:30am?! I hope they get complaint after complaint, this is just beyond wrong! And let's not blame Hogan, MCPS effed up! Should have closed before 6am at the latest.

I don’t envy them the screaming and complaints they will get but they deserve it. Some teachers and high schoolers we’re privy already there or on their way. Buses will have to turn around.
Presumably they did not want to close on November 15, when thanks to Governor Hogan's executive order, the calendar only allows for 2 snow days.
MCPS has wiggle room (see this next year's calendar). They wanted to be martyrs with this year's cal. my .02.
