On the list of troublesome critters, groundhogs are just about the least troublesome. You would think that they would overrun your property, but any children move out. So we’ve coexisted with a couple of (different) groundhogs on a few acres for 90 years. Nothing like the problems from squirrels, mice, deer, bears, voles, woodpeckers (drumming on gutters), mosquitoes, horseflies, African violets, or even dandelions (which the woodchucks find delish).

My dogs just killed one and brought it into my house today. It wasn't fully grown but not a baby either. Should I be worried that there are more about to get killed?
