I just watched this series and thought the last episode was a little weak, but don't get all the dislike for it. I wish that they hadn't tied so many loose ends of the Crain Family together because I'd be much more interested in the second season still being about them. (I guess the producer has said their story is done so another season would focus on something else.) I adored the kids in the series.

Loved it but the ending made no sense and completely neutered the House.

I finished watching this last night and I loved it - it was so much better than I expected. I thought it was well adapted, well written and well acted. The only parts that dragged for me were the character monologues which were written almost in a Shonda Rhimes-sequence manner (think: the caretaker’s story about the effect the house had on his wife and why they don’t stay after dark) - to be clear, I think those were necessary to tell the story but I just didn’t like the way they were written and spoken. Shirley Jackson, RIP, I heart you! She masters the slow build horror like no other.

The middle adult daughter looks like Angelina’s younger sister.

That's funny, I actually thought the whole series was great because of the strength of both casts (young and old). I thought the kids were really remarkable actually. particularly Theo and Luke but I thought they were all great.

Binged over weekend and liked it. Yup, definitely scared me...it wasn't aa much scary scenes vs the suspense of it all. I had my eyes averted or hand over screen often.

I didn't get a clear explanation regarding the ending, so a bit disappointing there.
