No, I unclog myself, but this has happened once in about 8 years and he wasn’t home.
Yes, but I can be discreet about it. I’ve mentioned if my stomach hurts or I don’t feel well. No need to announce that I’m sh*tting myself it make dramatic exits from the bathroom or make a lot of noise.

So my DH and I avoid it and I am comfortable with that.
But, the couple I know who are more comfortable with farting and peeing in front of each seem more relaxed and open with each other.
That’s just my observation...all relationships are different and the only thing that matters is that the two people are happy and fulfilled.
I’m definitely not about to start trapping DH in a Dutch oven anytime soon.

Meh. As someone who has a family member with IBS, and has dated someone with Crohn's to the point they've been hospitalized, I've learned sometimes it's literally not possible to control gas, awake or asleep.
I think if you're doing it deliberately it's rude, but if you have GI issues you cannot be running to the bathroom every time you have to pass gas unless it's a professional situation. Even then, they simply don't always have enough "notice" and I don't judge a coworker or friend for these reasons, even if I don't know their medical situation.
The people I've known have tried to manage it with meds, avoiding certain foods, walking/climbing stairs alone at certain times of day, and they'll do what they can to avoid it, but in some situations it will happen with others there, and that's just going to have to be OK.

I don't want to smell it and no one else does either. I haven't had a reason to change a tampon in front of my husband, but he wouldn't be sticking his nose in it. And NHIE asked him to unclog my toilet. I'm not helpless and again, won't subject someone to butt smell if possible.
