I did once write about it many years ago (before the first fGulf War). AFAIK, the story was not published formally. For me, it was therapeutic. I was crashing and burning, isolated and angry.

I'm not saying the the OP is making things up. But people should be aware of this.
They say an infinite number of monkeys typing an infinite number of years will also reproduce every work of Shakespeare, too, by random chance.
Maybe that's what this is.

You get to live forever knowing you saved a girl from rape.
Those five guys have to live forever knowing they raped someone.

You’re one of the good guys!
Except please explain partying the night before finals? Engineering college is tough, why weren’t you studying?
And finals are usually spread out over several days , they aren’t on one day.

Aspects of it are a bit peculiar. Men coming up to you on campus saying you must be gay because you took a drunk girl away from a frat party? Interesting.
If this story is true, then there's probably a lot more to it than you haven't told us. Despite that, it would be a terrible, terrible thing to have happened.
If you made this story up because you're bored on a Friday night and thought you'd have fun toying with highly strung emotions on DCUM following the Kavanaugh hearings, then shame, shame, shame on you.
Oh, STFU you sanctimonious cow.
You're one of the reasons why so many don't report.
OP, we believe you.
Interesting.
You believe the OP because you *want* to believe the story because it fits with what you want to believe in, and the narrative makes you feel righteous and just. That's why you get angry when someone else expresses doubt, because it's also a rejection of you. The emotional reaction is intriguing and says much.
