Travel. My APs live in different cities (so no risk of running into them when at home). My business trip to that city often is a day or two longer than it really needed to be.

Business travel. Wealthy people have apartments or condos in the city, closer to work.
I dated a wealthy private school guy in high school. He and his older brother had an apartment near their private school, while the family lived out in the country. I think dad stayed at the apartment once in a while on the weekends.
