There was plenty of sexual abuse in DCPS. Those unfortunate students thought they were the teacher's pet when in truth they were just being groomed. At first they will feel shame then anger. Eventually they will report it to the police and arrests will be made.

I am not the PP, but I think many of us are justifiably bigots against people who commit sexual abuse against minors, and any person or organization who protects them from justice.

If that earns the title "bigot", then I think most people would wear that title proudly.

It's avery interesting position, coming from a Church that vigorously asserts that the laws of God are immutable and timeless.

Sorry but after hearing fifty years of sermons reject the moral relativism of the day, it is not acceptable to use it as a defense.

Most catholics, like most people, have a moral compass, but when it comes to church matters, they don't use it. They instead rely on church teachings and guidance from church leaders.

Most catholics, like most people, have a moral compass, but when it comes to church matters, they don't use it. They instead rely on church teachings and guidance from church leaders.

You’ve been pushing this for months. Catholics have told you why you’re wrong many times. Not going to bother repeating the arguments here—do the work yourself and go back and re-read the old threads where you were peddling this before.


So what? Maybe Catholics are wrong about this and maybe bringing it up again will eventually resonate with some of them. Just because you don't agree with an argument doesn't give you the right to ban further discussion of it.
