Subject: Tell me about the most interesting person that you know...
The most interesting people I know have a natural charisma that just makes them fascinating to be around. Can't explain, doesn't matter what they're talking about, you just feel good in their presence.
In terms of tangible qualities, the most interesting people I know have had a lot of varied life experiences. They don't conform to societal expectations to get an advanced degree --> get a high-paying office job --> get married --> buy a house --> have two kids etc. A lot of interesting people I know either started out or ended up in culinary arts (pastry chef, baker, sous-chef, etc) somewhere along their journey, or they just like to cook and/or know a lot about various food cultures and history. I probably find them interesting because I really like food.

I know nothing else about this woman but I just really think thats remarkable to mold something so painful into something so positive. She has a page "Larla's annual shower" where you can donate items …anything unused NIP or very lightly used. She has a picture wall in her house of all the showers and all the babies who she "showers" are given a bday gift every year too. Its just really inspiring. When Im having a bad day I think about how that lady really turned sh*t around and I can too. The one time I met her (I'm a social worker and our paths crossed) she went "I weed out the cheap looking crap because I want these girls to have the best of the best of the best." Now these are women that barely had bus fair to the shower itself so its just a really amazing experience for them.
That made me tear up. What a wonderful woman

One of the most interesting people I knew was a former boyfriend. Totally irresponsible as far as holding down a job, but so much fun to hang around with! Super sharp sense of humor and because he only did odd jobs and acting in some plays, he had plenty of free time to take spontaneous road trips, go sailing, find all the best places to go hiking, and never said no to trying anything I could come up with. Eccentric and electric personality who was brutally honest and also super kind and a natural comedian. Once during karaoke he sang a song but in Kermit the Frog's voice.
We parted ways (we enjoyed each other's company but were both clear that it was a summer fling) when I left for grad school and for my farewell party he bought out the end of summer clearance stock on super soakers and a huge group of us ran around outside for hours playing soaker tag, and then we danced all night and played oiled Twister.
I've been to my share of muck-y-muck parties since then and that totally weird and awesome farewell party blows them all out of the water.

Sounds corny, but my dad is the most interesting person I know (I am a middle aged female). He came to US as a young child under truly horrific circumstances. Entire childhood here was rough, but I've never heard him complain about it (talks about things he did that were creative when he had no money). He is just a positive, optimistic person who only has good things to say about everyone. He made a great life for our family, not ostentatious, raised 2 good kids, and is happily retired. He and my mom continue to volunteer, travel, etc.

What a nice story. I have a friend whose fiancé left her a couple days before their massive, lavish wedding. She donated everything to throw a "prom" for disadvantaged kids who couldn't afford to go to their proms.

I used to teach kidnapping and random negotiation. I never talk about it though, bc it sounds weird to just bring up and there is never a conversational inroad. Am I the most interesting person I know?
