I'm the OP of the large thread about my sister who found her birth mom through an ancestry test. I think it's given her peace to find her family. Depressing though. A good half of them are in jail. Her grandpa, uncle and father have been in prison nearly all her life. I think it's made her appreciate the normalcy of my family. She has other siblings which stings me a little but I'm happy for her.

That OP - or someone posting as that OP - did come back and post that she asked her DH and he said he’d gotten tired driving home so checked into a hotel.

I wanna know what happened to the OP who posted that she was planning to leave her toddler in the US to go on a 3 week vacation in Asia. OP I think insisted that canceling was not an option and for some reason bringing the toddler was also going to be semi-impossible.

Her child was going to be cared for by grandparents who had never kept her overnight before.

The OP who was pregnant and considering going to India to have the baby because of health insurance issues in the US and financial issues. Plus she would have had more support in India from family/ nannies.

The replies were so good and OP stayed engaged for quite awhile but then I think the thread got deleted

I asked what happened to our old passports for the kids, when our new ones arrived. DCUM said to sit tight, they would come. And they did, y'all, about a week later, in a separate fed ex.
