In my culture it would be all good, esp if the guy is already established (nice job or business). Your nephew sounds like a late bloomer though with his gap years and graduate school...

I met my now-husband when I was 19 and he was 27. We were friends, and FWB, and started dating seriously after reconnecting when I was in my late twenties. Perfect age gap as far as I’m concerned. Hope it works out for your nephew and his girlfriend!

OP here. This sums it up. I agree.
If you agree that your nephew will always be hung up on her because of her looks and will never again be happy.....I can see why he can’t attract women his own age and needs to resort to immature 18 year olds.

She can really be the one for him you never know. I have a friend who was 18 when she met her husband, and he was 26. They married when she was 20, and are still married 17 years later. For all I know they seem happy.
